Revell

I recently purchased a 1:48 scale Revell Boeing B-29 Superfortress. WOW! What a beautiful model! Unfortunately however when removing the right wing bottom half from the tree I noticed it is slightly warped. Can you give me some tips on this?

Due to the large expanse of plastic involved with the molding process of the wing, there can sometimes be a slight deformity during the cooling process of the plastic. This should not be a problem as usually wrapping rubber bands around the assembly and letting the glue dry will correct the problem. Try rubber banding the parts first and see how well they line up. If necessary, you may want to try putting the wing half in very warm water. NOT HOT! Only as warm as your hand can comfortably stand for a minute or so and then try to GENTLY twist the part to shape. USE CAUTION! You don't want to put too much stress on it or it will crack.
